The Discussion

This Friday the whole class had a discussion on whether or not the mosque should be built near ground zero. I learned that people in my class are all very well informed on the subject and had a passion for what they are saying. I may not have agreed with their opinion but I found it neat to see my classmates using great examples of why and why not. It was hard to not say anything at times because they may have made me want to say something regarding to why it should be built. I have not been passionate like this in a class and it is a nice change in pace from learning through a book or taking a multiple choice test because this way of teaching actually works. I feel I am actually learning for a change rather than cramming for a test.
